"Aircraft on Ground" (AOG) is a term in aviation maintenance indicating that a problem is serious enough to prevent an aircraft from flying. Generally there is a rush to acquire the parts to put the aircraft (A/C) back into service, and prevent further delays or cancellations of the planned itinerary.
AOG applies to any aviation materials or spare parts that are needed immediately for an aircraft to return to service. When an aircraft "goes AOG" and materials required are not on hand, parts and personnel must be immediately driven, flown, or sailed to the location of the "grounded aircraft".
AGS’ personnel are trained to rapidly and economically source needed spare parts from a wide variety of sources in the open market, strictly adhering to FAA/EASA regulations.
AGS’ AOG desk is staffed 24 hours a day, 6 days a week. Help to get your aircraft back in the air is but a phone call or an email away. That’s why our motto is “Our business is to keep you flying…”
When you have an AOG situation, AGS’ AOG personnel work rapidly, in conjunction with your carriers' maintenance operations or purchasing department, in order to support your aircraft maintenance department with all needed parts or materials. Parts are sourced rapidly and delivered to you quickly and as efficiently as possible.
