AGS, American General Supplies, Inc. has been in business for 30 years. Our company was founded in Chicago, Illinois USA, in July 1982. We started as a small commercial aircraft spare parts supplier. Since then, we have grown and diversified the business significantly. Our continued growth has been selective and based on a set of well thought out mission objectives.

Our management team is a dynamic group with extensive airline experience. AGS is staffed by a multilingual group of highly motivated and engaged employees who possess a wide range of aviation experience and technical skills.

AGS has global business reach, with a customer base spanning the USA, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, South America and Asia. Key geographic focus areas for AGS are North America, Africa and the Middle East, where we have a long commercial history and strong business relationships.

The wide-range of AGS activities include, but are not limited to, the following areas: 

• Commercial A/C Spare Parts Supply - including all related materials and equipment such as shop and ground support equipment. We have a long history and strong business ties with manufacturers, like Boeing and Honeywell.  We have completed initial provisioning projects, working closely with Boeing, on the TAAG Angola new fleet types, B777-200 and B737-300 and LAM’s Bombardier Q-400’s.  We have recently been appointed as Honeywell’s authorized channel partner distributor for Africa.
• Ground Support Equipment sales: TAM DURABUS, Trepel Airport Equipment, GmBH, the Stinar Corporation, Clyde Machines and Tug Technologies, etc.   
• A/C Engines and other components maintenance - through marketing alliances and maintenances agreements with organizations that have capability, such as Summit Aerospace, AAR, ETHIOPIAN AIRLINES and others. 
• Aircraft and Engines purchase, lease
• Technical assistance - to customer airlines through personnel secondment on site and/or providing training in the USA
• Facility audits and capability development
• Full component support programs
• Technical writing assistance - such as maintenance program, technical policies and procedures
• Surplus material consignment - handling for customer airlines.
• Supporting customer airlines as purchasing agents
• Providing initial provisioning services - including warranty administration for airline customer’s acquiring new fleet, e.g. TAAG Angola Airlines.
• Providing financing services - to customer airlines with flexible payment terms.

AGS is accredited to ASA-100, FAA AC-0056A standards and has been audited and approved by several of its customers such as British Airways, Air Tran, Air Power, Air Zimbabwe, Pakistan International, Air Madagascar and Ethiopian Airlines.

AGS has had experience in providing its customer airlines with unlimited, comprehensive and proactive sales, service and financing support.  Our diverse one-stop service center capability is further expanded by the professional capabilities of our subsidiary company.

• Zodiac Aviation, a wholly owned subsidiary located near New York JFK airport, offers in-flight services and catering supplies.

AGS has a wide range of spares inventories  and consignment stocks in our state-of-the-art storage facility at our headquarters in Gaithersburg, Maryland.  As part of our appointment by Honeywell as their Channel Partner for Africa, we are now in the process of selecting a strategic location in Africa for a new Honeywell parts distribution center.

AGS’ comprehensive service and support offering is a product of the distributor appointments we maintain. We are distributors for Honeywell, TUG Technologies Corporation, Stinar Corporation, SWITLIK, Trepel Airport Equipment Company - GmbH and Clyde Machines.
